TV brackets, what to know before buying one

The flat-screen TVs in our homes are design objects that integrate perfectly with the furniture they are placed on. However, for LCD or Plasma TVs, for aesthetic reasons, the choice is increasingly to hang them on the walls of one's apartment for a wow effect.

This operation must be done safely and after carefully studying the cabling system of your home, to ensure that it is a 100% compatible choice with the place where we are. This is where TV mounts come in handy, different types of supports with different characteristics that allow you to hang the television and meet your needs. They can be fixed, tilting, rotating/swiveling, with extension bars, or even motorized.

What is certain is that before buying a TV mount, you need to know the TV you have purchased and the goal you want to achieve.

The first thing to do is to check the VESA (Video Electronics Standard Association) of your TV. This is a standard that defines the standard dimensions for mounting supports, which is indicated on the box and on your TV. Looking at the back of your TV, you will find four holes to attach the correct mount. By telling the seller the reference code, you will avoid mistakes.

In addition to this information, you will need to keep in mind the weight of your television, because not all mounts are suitable for all TVs, especially as they increase in size and therefore in weight. You will then need to choose a wall capable of holding all the weight; it is always advisable not to hang the mount and TV on a plasterboard wall.

Finally, once you have purchased the mount and decided on the wall on which to install everything, make sure to position the TV so that it is always in front of you, so that you remain seated in line with the screen, this will avoid annoying neck pain.

All models in the store are compatible with the VESA standard.
