Oniroview plaster spotlights for flush plasterboard mounting or ceiling fixing: paintable holders for GU10 or GU5.3 bulbs, available in single, double, or with a glass diffuser version.
Why choose Oniroview plaster spotlights
Plaster spotlights integrate into false ceilings or solid ceilings: once plastered and painted with the same colour as the wall, only the light beam remains visible, not the spotlight body. They are the most economical solution for those renovating plasterboard from scratch and also the simplest replacement when an old spotlight holder needs to be replaced.
- 🎨 Paintable white plaster: can be smoothed and painted with water-based paint, blending into the ceiling.
- 🔧 Two mounting types: recessed (requires a false ceiling) or surface/ceiling mounted (solid ceiling, no lowered sections).
- 💡 Compatible with GU10 230V and GU5.3 12V: covers both direct 230V systems and low-voltage lines with a transformer.
How to choose the right plaster spotlight
Before ordering, check three things: the type of ceiling you have, the existing electrical connection, and the power you need.
🔄 Expert Advice:
We often see orders with the wrong lamp holder compared to the existing line in the false ceiling. First, check if you have direct 230V or a 12V transformer: recessed spotlights only work with dedicated lamp holders (GU10 230V or GU5.3 12V), sold separately. Only ceiling-mounted models with a GU10 fitting include the lamp holder in the plaster body.

Plaster spotlights for construction sites, renovations, and commercial premises
Plaster spotlights are the recurring choice for plasterboard installers and renovation companies for private individuals who want a "clean" false ceiling, without visible metal frames. They are also requested by shops, showrooms, and offices undergoing restyling, where a discreet recessed light point is needed that blends into the ceiling once painted. The double model (215x125mm) is the fastest solution when two close-together beams are needed — above a counter or work surface — without manually aligning two holes.
Oniroview plaster models
The line includes 8 plaster supports: round or square recessed models (from €6.30), the version with a glass diffuser for softer light, the double body for two close-together light points, and ceiling-mounted models with an included GU10 lamp holder, designed for those without a false ceiling. Use the table above to compare them based on the type of mounting and the power you need.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a recessed plaster spotlight and a surface-mounted one?
Recessed spotlights are plastered flush with the plasterboard and require a pre-installed false ceiling. Surface-mounted models are fixed directly to a solid ceiling without the need for lowered sections: only rawlplugs are needed, and the GU10 lamp holder is already included in the plaster body. If you have a false ceiling, choose recessed; if the ceiling is solid, the surface-mounted model is the simplest alternative.
Do plaster spotlights include a bulb and lamp holder?
It depends on the model. For recessed spotlights (round, square, double, and with glass), the lamp holder and bulb are not included: dedicated GU10 230V or GU5.3 12V lamp holders are required, to be chosen based on the electrical line of your false ceiling. For surface-mounted models with a GU10 fitting, the lamp holder is already included: only the LED bulb is missing.
What is the maximum power rating for plaster spotlights?
It varies from model to model: simple recessed spotlights go up to 35W, models with glass diffusers are limited to 10W (not compatible with halogens), the double support handles up to 70W total between the two bulbs, and surface-mounted models with GU10 also go up to 35W.
Can plaster spotlights be installed in bathrooms or outdoors?
No. All Oniroview plaster spotlights have an IP20 protection rating, designed only for dry indoor environments. In bathrooms, showers, or outdoors, plaster would absorb moisture, and IP20 does not protect against water or dust. For humid or outdoor areas, aluminum or polycarbonate spotlights with IP44 or higher are needed.
How many plaster spotlights are needed to illuminate a room?
As a general rule, for general lighting, count one recessed spotlight (max 35W) for approximately every 1.5-2 m², spacing them 60-80cm apart from each other and from the wall. For accent lighting, 1-2 targeted spotlights are sufficient.
