The living room is one of the most used rooms in the house and often represents the very heart of the home, which is why lighting it correctly is very important.
Many daily activities take place in the living room (conversing, watching a film, receiving guests) and to light it well, in order to give it the right prominence and enhance every corner, just take a few precautions that will make it a pleasant environment to live in.
Creating an evocative atmosphere
Adequately lighting one of the most important rooms in the house also means creating an emotional experience through a series of lights capable of making the living room unique and particularly welcoming.
LED strips positioned in specific points of the room or, alternatively, single adjustable spotlights, to highlight the most significant corners of the living room, represent optimal solutions in this regard. Be careful not to light every single point of the environment, it is better to focus on some specific areas or on individual objects and, above all, be careful not to overdo the lighting, especially if the living room is small.
Lighting the furnishings
To give the living room an even more evocative lighting, you can choose to direct lights onto some furnishing elements such as, for example, equipped walls, bookcases, paintings and so on. To enhance these elements, intense and evocative beams of light could be used.

Lighting the table
A self-respecting living room always includes a table among its areas and, even in this case, adequate lighting cannot be ignored. Our advice is to light the table with direct light, positioning a pendant lamp above it.
It should be emphasized, however, that the light in this part of the room must illuminate uniformly but, at the same time, not be too strong. An excessively "aggressive" light source, in fact, risks bothering diners.
The living area
In this area, people usually rest, read or chat, which is why it must be lit in such a way that the light does not strain the eyes and, at the same time, is able to create a relaxing atmosphere. The ideal solution is to choose a floor lamp with a dimmer, to vary the light intensity according to needs.
The TV area
For the TV area, LEDs to be installed on the TV cabinet represent one of the best and most current solutions, which allows you to avoid eye strain while watching TV in the evening. To prevent the light from creating reflections on the screen, it is preferable to position the LEDs behind the television.
The size of the living room
An aspect that should never be underestimated, for the purpose of choosing the right lighting, is the size of the living room. If it is an open space or a very large room, you can opt for pendant lamps or designer floor lamps that are able to give dynamism to the environment. When, on the contrary, the space is small, it is preferable to choose only pendant lamps, as these allow you not to clutter the (already reduced) environment and at the same time obtain more depth.
Finally, in all those cases where the living room has poor natural lighting, it is recommended to use wall lights with warm light to be combined with a central lamp. The lights positioned in this way, in fact, create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
