The pair of extenders over ip consisting of a transmitter and a receiver allow you to increase the maximum distance to carry the high definition hdmi (1080p) video signal that comes out of the hdmi port of a source such as blu-ray players, computers and even for sky HD decoder to one or more TV monitors. The maximum distance is 120mt, the supported resolution is 1080p at 60hz.
The new extender model CT375 / 11 is used in particular when a workstation (workstation or fixed pc) is far from the workstation equipped with a monitor. This pair supports the KVM function which allows you to connect a keyboard and mouse to the receiver in order to remotely control the PC.
The use of KVM extenders is increasingly widespread and follows the new layout of the most recent offices, where the personal desk has been replaced by shared workstations.
Each employee / collaborator can use any workstation, log in and start working.
The video output signal from the PC is connected to the transmitter, just as the USB cable carries data for the keyboard and mouse.
The exdenter over ip can work in two modes:
Point-to -Point Connection : The transmitter is connected directly to the receiver via a cat.6 lan cable
Point-to-Multipune Connection : The transmitter is connected to a gigabit switch within an existing LAN (Cat.6) network and multiple receivers. In this case it is necessary to purchase the additional receivers.
When, as for the example shown on the side, the N stations are greater than one, it will be necessary to use more CT375 / 10R receivers.
The maximum number of stations that can be connected depends on the bandwidth of the LAN to which the CT375 / 10 is connected.
PLEASE NOTE : fundamental requirements for correct operation are the use of cat.6 ethernet cables and the presence of a GIGABIT 10/100/1000 Switch with support for IGMP Multicast . Approximate price for these switches 60 - 70 euros
The hdmi extender is powered (two power supplies included), this allows the transmitter and receiver to send the amplified and equalized signal to obtain the best performance without signal loss.
