Marino Cristal: replacement parts for lamps you don't throw away
Marino Cristal is a brand we carry for a specific reason: it covers specific replacement parts for high-end designer lighting, where a generic bulb just won't work, neither technically nor aesthetically. Think Flos pendant lights, recessed shower spotlights, string lights, or the AR111s found in retail stores. Alongside these, they offer a range of LED bulbs and traditional replacements for fixtures that are still going strong.
Replacement parts for Flos
This is the most useful part of our catalog. Flos IC Lights (S1, Ceiling and Wall) require a tubular bulb with precise proportions, available in E14 and E27, 8W, warm light, and also dimmable. The Flos Taraxacum, with its many exposed light sources, calls for 2 to 2.5W E27 filament globe bulbs in 2700K warm light: using a generic bulb means you'll see the difference on every single bulb.
For these fixtures, the bulb is not just any consumable; it is part of the design: the shape, the output, and the appearance of the lamp even when turned off all depend on it.

Shower spotlights: IP65 is not optional
Inside a shower enclosure or above a bathtub, you need a level of protection suitable for water: IP65 means total protection against dust and resistance to water jets from any direction. A standard recessed spotlight installed in such a location isn't just less durable: it’s not up to code. The Tri-White version also allows you to choose between 2700K, 3000K, and 4000K on the same fixture, which is handy when the bathroom needs to serve as both a utility area and a relaxing environment.
Pro tip. For designer lamps, choose your replacement by looking at three things together: base, shape, and exact dimensions in millimeters. In fixtures like the IC Lights or the Taraxacum, the bulb is visible, and a shorter tubular bulb or a globe of a different diameter is immediately noticeable. If you aren't sure about the model you have at home, send us a photo of the lamp turned on and one of the old bulb: we will tell you the correct replacement. On these fixtures, a return costs everyone more than two minutes of checking.
Frequently asked questions
Are these bulbs original Flos products?
They are compatible replacements for those fixtures, not Flos-branded products: they respect the base, shape, dimensions, and light output required by the lamp. If you are looking for the manufacturer's original replacement, it must be purchased through their channels.
Is the dimmable version always necessary?
It is necessary if the fixture or the system has a dimmer. A non-dimmable bulb on a circuit with a dimmer will flicker, buzz, or fail to turn on. Also, verify that the dimmer is compatible with LED loads: older dimmers designed for incandescent bulbs often cannot handle the low power consumption of LEDs.
What is the difference between AR111 GU10 and AR111 G53?
The base and the voltage. The G53 is the classic low-voltage AR111, powered by a transformer. The GU10 works directly at 230V without a transformer: easier to install in new systems, but not interchangeable with the G53 on an existing fixture.
What does "adjustable beam" mean?
It means the emission angle can be varied on the fixture, switching from a narrow beam to illuminate an object to a wider one to cover an area. This is useful for commercial displays, where the arrangement of merchandise changes over time and you don't want to redo the lighting every time.
What are the blue-tinted glass incandescent bulbs for?
They are the classic decorative solar bulbs used for their specific color rendering and decorative effect. They are part of our discontinued product range, available only while supplies last.
