Lumix Space: high-power outdoor lighting
Lumix Space is the brand we turn to when we need real light for large surfaces: yards, courtyards, construction sites, warehouses, private roads, and loading areas. The range covers projectors from 10W to 500W, adjustable street lamps, floodlights with integrated solar panels, and emergency lighting. These are not decorative products: they are work equipment, IP65-rated, sized according to the lumens you actually need.
The three main families
| What do you need to light? | Fixture | Power supply |
|---|---|---|
| Façade, entrance, small courtyard | 10–50W IP65 LED projector | Mains power |
| Yard, maneuvering area, warehouse | 100–500W IP65 LED projector | Mains power |
| Private road, parking lot, driveway | Adjustable street lamp 50–150W, up to 19,500 lumens | Mains power |
| Where there is no power | 50–300W floodlight with solar panel and dusk-to-dawn sensor, 3White CCT versions | Solar, 5m extension available separately |
| Garden, path, green area | Post-top lamps, mains or solar with sensor | Both |
| Work, construction site, workshop | 50W rechargeable portable work light or 100W adjustable work light | Battery or cable |
Solar floodlights: the panel is separate, and that’s a good thing
On models with a solar panel, the panel is connected to the lighting unit via a cable, rather than being integrated into the same housing. This detail makes these fixtures truly usable: the floodlight can be in the shade while the panel is in the sun, which is exactly what is needed for most real-world installations — light under a canopy, panel on the roof. 5-meter extension cables are available as accessories and should be chosen based on the floodlight’s power and series: including them in the quote with the floodlight prevents the discovery during installation that the included cable is too short.
The term 3White CCT indicates the ability to select the color temperature between warm, natural, and cold on the same unit: useful when you don't know in advance what effect you want, or when the same model needs to be installed in different settings.
Pro tip. For outdoor projectors, stop thinking in watts and look at the lumens: they are the light coming out, while watts are just the energy going in. Two 100W floodlights from different manufacturers can differ significantly. Secondly, installation height is just as important as power: a powerful floodlight mounted too low will glare and leave shadows, while the same light mounted higher will cover twice the area. For a yard, it is better to have two well-distributed 150W fixtures than one 300W fixture in a corner. And for adjustable street lamps, take advantage of the joint: tilting it slightly downward reduces light pollution toward the sky and complaints from neighbors.
Emergency lighting and accessories
The emergency range covers wall-mounted and recessed fixtures, IP20, IP40, and IP65, in SE (non-maintained, off under normal conditions) and SE+SA (maintained, always on) versions. Surrounding these fixtures is an entire installation ecosystem: recessed kits, flush-mount boxes, drop-ceiling kits, round or square frames and bezels, and double-sided pictogram kits with the figure and arrow for marking escape routes.
Frequently asked questions
How many watts are needed to light a yard?
It depends on the surface area, installation height, and the level of illumination required. As a practical reference: 50W for an entrance or small courtyard, 100–150W for a maneuvering area, 300–500W for large surfaces or very high installations. It is better to distribute multiple units than to concentrate all the power in one spot.
Do solar floodlights work all year round?
Yes, with reduced battery life in the winter months when there are fewer hours of sunlight. The panel's exposure and the absence of shading are crucial: a panel partially in the shade for half the day will significantly reduce the charge. Models with motion sensors extend battery life because they only operate at full power when movement is detected.
What does IP65 mean?
Total protection against dust and protection against water jets from any direction. It is the correct rating for exposed outdoor installation: rain, wind, and dust are not a problem. However, it does not mean the device can be submerged.
What is the difference between 4000K and 6500K?
The color temperature. 4000K is a natural light, more relaxing and suitable for courtyards, gardens, and transit areas; 6500K is a cold light that provides a feeling of greater intensity and is often preferred in industrial and work areas.
Is the solar panel extension cable included?
No, it is a separate accessory and must be chosen based on the power and series of the floodlight. Check the length of the included cable against the actual distance between the installation point of the floodlight and the panel before completing your order.
