Expert advice. For lamps with exposed E27 sockets, such as brass and wood wall lamps and table lamps, you choose the bulb, and it completely changes the result. For these fixtures, a glass LED filament bulb is recommended: the white heatsink of a common LED is visible and clashes with the finish. Furthermore, if you want to be able to adjust the brightness, get a dimmable bulb and a dimmer compatible with LED loads — old incandescent dimmers will cause flickering.
