AC adapters: be careful, they are not the usual kind
This is a point worth pausing over. Most power adapters on the market provide direct current (DC); these provide alternating current (AC), and that is a different thing. They are used for devices that explicitly require it: some intercoms, video intercoms, doorbells, gate motors, and signal transformers. Replacing an AC adapter with a DC one — or vice versa — won't work and can damage the device.
Always check the code on the old adapter's label: if it says V~ or VAC, you need alternating current; if there is V⎯ or VDC, you need direct current.
Asymmetrical beam step marker lights
The asymmetrical front beam throws light downward and forward, onto the step or path, instead of radiating in all directions. This is what is really needed on stairs, walkways, and entrances: it illuminates where you step without dazzling those climbing them. The 503 box mounting makes it compatible with pre-existing flush-mount boxes, and the IP65 rating makes it suitable for outdoor installation.
Expert advice. With battery packs for small appliances, the mistake is always the same: people look at the voltage and capacity and forget about the connector and physical dimensions. A 2.4V 2SC pack exists with solder tabs, wire leads, or with a connector, and the tabs may come out on the same side or opposite sides: if you choose the wrong one, the battery is the right type but you won't be able to mount it. Before ordering, open the device and take a photo of the old pack with its terminals. With that photo, we can tell you in a minute if it's the correct spare part.

How do I know if I need an AC or DC adapter?
Look at the label on the device or the old adapter. The V~ or VAC symbol indicates alternating current, V⎯ or VDC indicates direct current. They are not interchangeable, even with the same voltage and amperage.
Can I use a battery with more mAh than the original?
Yes, provided that the voltage, format, and terminal match: more capacity just means more autonomy and a longer recharge time. The voltage, however, must be identical.
Does the step marker light fit into a standard flush-mount box?
Yes, in the 503 box, the most common one in Italian systems. However, the available depth must be checked and, for outdoor installation, the correct seal of the box itself: the device's IP65 rating protects the front, but it does not fix a poorly sealed wall box.
Does the telephone splitter reduce line quality?
On a traditional analog line, the effect is negligible for a few devices. On data lines, however, multiplying connection points can degrade the signal: in that case, a professional-grade distribution is recommended.
Is the spare part for the grater compatible with other models?
The 2.4V 1800 mAh 2SC pack is intended for the Ariete Gratì grater, but the same configuration is found on other small battery-powered appliances. Always verify the voltage, cell format, and type of terminal against the pack you need to replace.
