Flos IC S1, another design lamp and its lighting needs

The IC S1 by Flos designed by Michael Anastassiades in 2014 is among the lamps that have made the history of design . to illuminate the room in which it is located, making it suitable for different environments, from homes to offices, from restaurants to bars, thanks also to the fact that there are two versions available on the market: floor-standing or wall-mounted.

The idea of its creator was to bring together the imagination and the lighting needs of an environment. Thinking of Flor Anastassiades' IC S1, he had in mind the balance and manual skills that a juggler plays when he rolls a glass ball on his arm and hand without ever letting it fall, creating a magical and effective game. Thus was born the idea of a sphere that was suspended thanks to a steel support, simple but effective.

The light that the IC S1 of Flos diffuse is a particular light as the bulbs that are inside are particular. The entrance hole is in fact very narrow and the bulbs that can be housed inside the globe must have specific characteristics: they must be narrow and with a small or large attack depending on the model.

On our portal there are several proposals, of tubular LED bulbs , compatible with this type of lamp, both for the floor and wall versions. These are models, some of which are compatible with dimmers, which allow you to adjust the intensity of the light, which emit warm light and which can be comfortably housed in the luminaire, thanks to their width of only 28 mm.

Their life? Long, as only LED lights can guarantee, it is 40,000 hours of light and 20,000 ignition cycles.
