Living room: how to properly illuminate the heart of the house

The living room is one of the most experienced rooms in the house and often represents the very heart of the home, which is why lighting it in the right way is really very important.

In fact, in the living room many of the daily activities take place at home (we talk, watch a film, receive guests) and to illuminate it well, in order to give it the right emphasis and enhance every corner, just take some precautions that will make it a pleasant environment to live.

Create a suggestive environment
Lighting one of the most important rooms in the house adequately also means creating an emotional experience through a series of lights that can make the stay unique and particularly welcoming.
The LED strips positioned in specific points of the room or, alternatively, the single adjustable spotlights , to highlight the most significant corners of the living room, represent optimal solutions in this sense. But be careful not to illuminate every single point of the environment, better concentrate on some specific areas or single objects and above all be careful not to overdo the lighting, especially if the living room is small.

Illuminate the furnishings
To give the living room an even more suggestive lighting, you can choose to focus lights on some furnishing elements such as, for example, equipped walls, bookcases, paintings and so on. To enhance these elements, intense and suggestive light beams could be used.

Light up the table
A self-respecting living room always includes a table between its rooms and, even in this case, one cannot ignore adequate lighting. Our advice is to illuminate the table with direct light, placing a pendant lamp on it .

It should be noted, however, that the light, in this part of the room, must illuminate evenly but, at the same time, not be too strong. An excessively "aggressive" light source, in fact, risks annoying diners.

The living area
In this area, usually, you rest, read or chat, that's why you need to illuminate it in such a way that the light that does not tire your eyes and, at the same time, is able to create a relaxing atmosphere. The ideal solution is the choice of a floor lamp with dimmer , to vary the intensity of the light according to the needs.

The TV area
For the TV area, the LEDs to be installed on the TV cabinet represent one of the best solutions, as well as the most current, which allows not to tire the eye while watching TV in the evening. To prevent light from creating reflections on the screen, it is preferable to place the LEDs behind the TV.

The size of the living room
One aspect that should never be underestimated, for the purpose of choosing the right lighting, is the size of the living room. If it is an open space or a very large environment, you can opt for pendant lamps or for design floor lamps that are able to give dynamism to the environment. When, on the other hand, space is limited, it is preferable to choose only suspension lamps, as these allow you not to clutter up the (already reduced) environment and to obtain, at the same time, more depth.

Finally, in all those cases where the living room has a poor natural light, we recommend the use of applique with warm light to be combined with a central lamp. The lights positioned in this way, in fact, create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
