The emergency lamps

Le lampade di emergenza

The emergency lamps they are luminous safety devices to have in every home or office, so as not to remain in the dark in the event of a sudden blackout. When the energy fails, either due to an overload inside the apartment or due to problems concerning the city power line, the emergency lamp is activated allowing us not to remain in the dark and to avoid accidents. In addition, the activation of the emergency lamp allows us to move inside our homes and, when it comes to a current overload, turn the lights back on and resume our activities.

Emergency luminaires have been present in homes and offices for many years, albeit in different forms, and today they are equipped with LED lights , which allows these devices not only to provide us with a more intense light, but also to have a longer duration if the problem is not immediately resolved.

Their operation is very simple. When the power grid works correctly, they recharge their internal battery which is activated as soon as the power goes out. Of course, the duration of the safety light depends on the capacity of the battery.

With regard to the types , just take a look at our houses, to realize that there are different types. There are those installed on our walls and therefore fixed , there are instead those that we keep attached to a socket and therefore they are portable . If the former are real emergency lights that are often found near doors or exits, the latter can also be activated for a specific use and can be used to move around the house in the dark.

The portable ones, specifically, are equipped with rechargeable batteries and they can also be used to be left in the car, knowing that a small supply is always at hand.

The good habit of having spare batteries also applies to wall lamps, on which we suggest you do bimonthly, if not monthly, tests to always be sure not to remain in the dark.
