When it comes to the kitchen , lighting is one of the most important aspects, not only because it is a space in which it is essential to have the right light from a functional point of view, but also because, in the modern world, the kitchen covers a really important role, in terms of design and appeal of the house itself.
But what are the precautions to be taken to ensure perfect lighting for your kitchen?
One of the first rules to take into consideration is the presence of several light sources capable of "lighting" our kitchen, making it pleasant to live, for us and for our guests.
From ceiling or recessed lighting (excellent solution for large and small kitchens) to individual chandeliers and pendants lined up on the island, passing through dimmable lamps and LED strips, perfect to place under furniture to provide lighting of additional work: the kitchen is an environment in which you can really indulge yourself with lighting.
But let's see the different solutions in detail.
The recessed ceiling spotlights
Practical, customizable and reliable, they have become the preferred type of lighting for contemporary kitchens. Our advice, however, is to add a central light fitting to give an extra touch of personality to the environment.
Chandeliers and sturdy pendant lights
After a period that saw them leave the scene a bit, the chandeliers are experiencing a great renaissance and, without a doubt, they represent an elegant choice that allows you to give character and personalize the kitchen.
Dimmable lamps
With the ability to quickly choose the intensity of light we want to enter the room, dimmable lamps are the perfect addition to any kitchen. These are intelligent lamps which, once tried, you will no longer be able to do without.
LED strips
These are the simplest lights to install. They can be placed in the lower part of the wall units, to illuminate the space dedicated to preparation (taking up very little space) with an excellent result also from an aesthetic point of view, thanks to the suggestive atmosphere they help to create.
Pendant lamps on the island
One of the best solutions to illuminate the island, which has now become a must in modern kitchens. In this case it is advisable to opt for suspension lamps with a narrow cap, to ensure direct lighting of the work surface below and to obtain a great scenographic result. It should be noted that in this way, however, the rest of the environment will not enjoy lighting, which is why we must consider adding other points of light in the room.
